When you feel what they say.
Friday, November 27, 2009

YES. I finally have something to blog about! it's quite sad to know that there is NOTHING that excites you. oh goodness me.

so anyway, Dance camp was fruitful and I WAS OVERWHELMED! i mean, it is the first time i've organised a camp. Though it was simple, it was sincere. I didnt thought it was good anyhow, so i was pleasently disappointed with myself for NOT doing it again.

however, there was a sudden want to blog hopped, so i hopped around my dancers' blog. and oh hell. i almost cried. The girls were very nice and it was truly sincere. No 'its really good. really' like helloo. every idiot knows you're just being nice. I believe the girls meant what they said, at least i do hope they are. I believe the one who gained the most isn't the campers, its the GGL (good-group-leaders) who learnt the most.

This lesson they've learnt is more expensive than going for a $900 course or a year or math. This lesson they've learnt is more valuable than your first kiss, or the first time you fell in love.
It has NO monetary value at all.

it's something that has quietly , almost unknowingly punctured in you. It made you grow up, in a sense that now, you analyse things better, you've learnt how to give way to other people although it makes no better to you. But still, you willingly do it, because you know you have to, I'm glad the girls learnt how to be responsible.

For example, allowing the campers to bathe before you do. Its clear cut and it comes naturally when you're the leader. However, on every normal day, would you allow some random junior of yours cut your queue at the drink stall? NO. you're never allow it. It's the magic that works in camp. that's why i love camps. it works magic!

As for me, the amount of things i've learnt is so tremendous i cannot put it in words, in fact, i do not know exactly what i've learnt. However, i am very positive that i've grown in 101 ways in less than 24 hours.

Who would have thought that I, hazel ang could be stressed over tidiness. Who would have thought that I could actually manage and juggle a camp with less than 10 helpers. Who would have thought that the camp would be successful even without much teachers help. so here's my thankyous :

WanRu: thankyou for being behind me, giving me an extra push when i fall. Thankyou standing by although you practically have no voice at all. I hope you've learnt as much as i did. :D

Jean: Thankyou for getting out of your shell, joining in the camp spirit. I must say, initially, i was so afraid you would not get out of that shell and kept it in you. thankyou for being that great leader. You might not have realised, but girl, magic worked in you. You're more than just the jean goh we had now

Sonia : Thankyou for being that responsible and reliable girl i knew you were. Thankyou for proving me right. I knew there was something in you, waiting to burst out of sonia yew. I'm glad it did. I am honoured to have witness you become a responsible young woman in making. It tickles me when i see you girls do your red indian cheer. yes you girls might have discriminated yourself, but SONIA making cheers? how cool uh?

Joye: Thankyou for being so enthusiastic and mature. Yes. Mature my dear. I've used mature on you. You are just like jean, and i am so glad you've learnt something. once again, its that magic. Thankyou for always supporting me. You might not know, but that little force has pushed me to where i am today. Thankyou for that silent support, cos i know even if i gave the weirdest, most unbelievable idea, I know you will eventually be there to give it a try. thankyou.

Esther: Thankyou for being that wholesome girl you've always been. You've been to plentiful amount of camp and dance camp was definately too light on you. thankyou for playing through, giving your support. it brings a smile on my face. Thankyou for being so on whenever i need people for support. thankyou!

Elysia : Thankyou for just being you. thankyou in everyway and every how. You know me best and it brings me great comfort to know you're right behind me whenever im helpless. You're always there to do the shittiest job available for me just cos you know im about to cry. Thankyou for telling me everything is okay, and helping me pull everything back when im lost. You might been seen as the blurr, no eq girl. but there's this extensive power in you to console people and make people feel safe. you're a legend. You deserve the limelight, You deserve the praise. Not me.

Peggy: Thankyou for growing up from that spoilt young girl. You are another junior whom i've seen potential in. You almost proved me wrong. It was this close. But you pulled it together ultimately. Im glad i trusted you just once more. All the little things you did for pirates, i've seen them. Thankyou for showing me that you have the qualities for a leader. You're not just that laid back happy-go-lucky girl. you do care. you do care for the weak and those who needed more attention. thankyou!

when guilt overwhelmes you.
Tuesday, November 10, 2009

When you screw up somebody else's O level, the guilt haboured in you is a zillion times stronger than screwing up your own paper.

So that got me thinking, if you were to comfort the person who screwed up some other people's O Level, how are you going to comfort him or her? Of course, you can happily say 'Don't worry about it! It's OKAY..' But what if the person shoots you back with a million dollar question, 'won't you feel as guilty as I am if YOU were ME?'

How in the world can you answer the person? if you say yes, then you no longer have any rights to comfort the person. However, if you were to answer no, there are three possibility to that. One, you aren't thinking when you said it. Two, you're lying. Three, you are a cold and heartless person.

So, what are you?

Next thing to ponder, does the person who semi caused the screw up of the national examinations deserve any comforting?

Okay, too many thoughts processing in my head. I can't think anymore. It is overwhelming me. Have you had those days? Well, I have them every month.

Backstreet boys are no longer boys.

HELLOOOOOO!

I believe many of you would have heard of the boyband veterans, Backstreet Boys.

These men have lived through the boyband industry for over a decade, starting out together with insync (well i dunno how to spell ;P). However, the only one who survived from the latter band is none other than JT <3 well at least for whom i know. HAHA

Over the years, Backstreet Boys have evolved from cool young dudes into balding mature men. Of course, they had their chance to be on the top of the chart but also had their chance of being down right at the bottom of the chart. I was a huge fan of them as a young girl. I remember days were kids were not as hip as they are now, and the only song i listened to other than nursery rhymes are the backstreet boys. Simply by knowing the backstreet boys, i was one of the hippest 6 year old in class. However, you have to know lady gaga, beyonce , taylor swift and miley cyrus to be the hippest kid in class nowadays.

My cousin would use my favourite backstreet boys to coax me into eating only 1 pao when i wanted 2.

HAHA. After a decade, i still love their song and they simply seem so attractive ( i do not mean their looks for now) Yes their fresh faces used to be a plus point to their catchy tunes, however, i still love them although they barely have any hair left.

KUDOS TO THE BACKSTREET BOYS MEN!

HAZEL the %+**&$#!

I'm a kuku head.
I am not you, you or you.
I cry a lot but I'm a happy person!
I'm weird and nostalgic.
I never wanna stop dancing!

I'm happily in love with my boyfriend ♥
I don't care if I'm the head prefect,
screw yourself if you don't like the way I am.

TAGGED,you're in!
