Remember the time where a prefect with a pigtail on each side of her head walks up to you and say ''you are not allowed to eat here!'' she would press her tender brows together and poke her arms into her hip.
yeap, thats the typical scene you would see in a primary school. the prefects were just like policemen, we seek justice. simple as that.
but as you move up the ladder and reach sec sch, the girl with pigtails start to care more about her social circle, her cool-o-meter, her appearance, every other redundant things that use to mean nothing to her when she was in primary school.
look at the prefectorial board in general. look where we are heading. I've been trying so hard to make the PB cooler, thus the prefects can be easily accepted in their ''social circle''. i allowed the girls to have the luxury to have longer fringe, something that wasn't allowed. i encourage the boys to look hip, something people think prefects aren't. We care so much about being accepted that we forgot all about what we were originally for. I agree that secondary school students ain't as easy to handle than the kids. but aren't we previously about discipline?what happened to that?
a sec one prefect text me today and told me she saw a few sec 5s eating outside the canteen. they didnt know what to do. i did not reply. she later told me she and another 2 prefects went up to get them to move away. i thought it was really couragous of them. what happened to that? why am i no longer doing it? guess i lost it along the way.
